The Computer Science & Engineering (Cyber Security) branch focuses on protecting computer systems and networks from cyber threats. Students are trained in cryptography, network security, ethical hacking, and risk management. The curriculum includes hands-on labs and simulations to provide practical experience in defending against cyber attacks. Students learn to identify vulnerabilities, implement security measures, and develop secure software. This sub-branch prepares graduates for critical roles in information security, cyber forensics, and security consulting, ensuring the safety and integrity of digital information. The program covers advanced topics such as intrusion detection and incident response. The sub-branch emphasizes the importance of continuous monitoring and proactive threat management. Collaborative learning environments foster teamwork and communication skills. Graduates are proficient in various security tools and technologies. The program also covers emerging trends in cyber security, such as blockchain and quantum cryptography. The program encourages lifelong learning and professional development.
Passed 10+2 examination with Physics & Mathematics (mandatory) with Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ Biology/ Informatics Practices/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies/ Entrepreneurship and obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.
To enable the students to keep pace with changing technological advances, YSET has INDUSTRIAL TRAINING PARTNER tie-ups for global certifications. Taking these add on courses as a part of the curriculum and getting certified by IBM/TCS/MICROSOFT would provide a big boost to the graduate engineers employability skills.
